Chocolate Oreo Tiramisu
Ingredients
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 / 2 cups granulated sugar
1 / 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 packages cream cheese
1 cup coffee
1 package oreo cookie
2 1 / 2 chocolate bars
1 / 4 cups heavy whipping cream
1 1 / 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
5 oreo cookies
Steps
Step 1
Whisk or use a hand mixer to mix the heavy whipping cream and sugar until stiff peaks form. Then you can set aside for now.
Step 2
Now mix together the cream cheese and vanilla until it's smooth.
Step 3
Then fold in the whipped cream one-third at a time. Once you have folded in all the whipped cream, crush 5 Oreos (without the cream filling), and fold the crushed Oreos into the mix.
Step 4
Pour your coffee into a bowl, and dip the Oreo (with the cream filling this time) into the coffee (very quickly, they will get soggy extremely fast), and place them into the dish side by side. You may need to cut a few in half depending on the size of your dish. I used a 9x9in pan, and needed to do this.
Step 5
Now, take the whipped cream cheese and split it in half. Use the first half and spread it evenly over the top of the first Oreo layer.
Step 6
Do the same as Step 4, and arrange another layer of coffee-dipped Oreo cookies over the first layer of whipped cream cheese.
Step 7
Finish off the base by putting the second half of the whipped cream cheese on top of the layers. Smooth it out with a spatula or spoon.
Step 8
Put aside in the refrigerator for about an hour.
Step 9
Once it is out of the refrigerator, we can start to make the topping. First we need to mix or whisk together heavy whipping cream and sugar together just like in Step 1.
Step 10
We then mix half of the new batch of cream and broken chocolate bar together in a bowl. Put in the microwave for about 30 seconds, then mix together, then put back in the microwave for 30 seconds, then mix. Repeat until you have a smooth mix.
Step 11
Pour the chocolate mix over top of the chilled tiramisu and smooth it out evenly.
Step 12
Take the remaining cream and put it in a plastic Ziploc bag, and cut the corner with scissors. Squeeze out the cream gently over the top of the tiramisu in horizontal lines.
Step 13
To make the cool pattern over the top, gently drag a toothpick vertically through the cream lines.
Step 14
Lastly crush 5 Oreos (without the filling) and sprinkle the crumbles around the edges.
Step 15
Dish and enjoy!
Footnote
Oreos are much more porous than ladyfingers. Blink and they’re mush. A sub-one-second dunk in the coffee is all you need; the cookies will continue to soften as the tiramisu sets in the fridge. For Step 10 (the ganache), ensure your chocolate is broken into uniform pieces. If the mix looks "broken" or oily, add one teaspoon of warm cream and whisk vigorously to bring the emulsion back together. For the best presentation, use a knife dipped in hot water and wiped dry between each cut. This prevents the white cream layers from smearing into the dark chocolate ganache. As noted in the steps, a 9x9-inch pan is the sweet spot. If you use an 8x8, you’ll get thicker layers but might have leftovers of the whipped filling.
What makes this dish special?
Upgrade your dessert game with this Easy Chocolate Oreo Tiramisu. Swapping traditional ladyfingers for coffee-dipped Oreo cookies, this decadent no-bake dessert features layers of airy whipped cream cheese and a smooth chocolate ganache topping. Perfectly balanced with a hint of vanilla and a signature toothpick-swirl pattern, it’s a crowd-pleasing cookies-and-cream twist on the classic Italian favorite. Just pure creamy bliss in under 30 minutes of active prep. Traditional ladyfingers can sometimes be too spongy. Using Oreos provides a deeper cocoa flavor and a sturdier base that holds up beautifully against the coffee soak. Unlike traditional mascarpone, which can be finicky and expensive, using cream cheese creates a tangier, more stable filling that slices perfectly every time. The addition of a chocolate bar ganache and the "toothpick-drag" technique gives this a high-end bakery look with very little effort. Utilizing the Oreo crumbs (without the filling) as a border adds a sophisticated, crunchy texture that signals exactly what’s inside.
